1989-1993 Cummins VE Fuel Pin & Spring (231601)
Description
Drop-in VE pump fuel pin and 3200 RPM governor spring kit for 1989-1993 Dodge 5.9L 12V Cummins trucks. The cheapest, fastest way to wake up a stock 1st gen — about 40 horsepower and 90-100 lb-ft of torque over the factory tune, plus the engine pulls clean past the OE 2500 rpm soft ceiling.
Both parts go into the existing VE pump. Pin opens up the fuel curve; the governor spring raises the RPM limit so the new fuel has somewhere to live. No core swap, no shop time — a competent DIY job in an afternoon.
Features
- Performance Fuel Pin for VE Pump
- 3200 RPM Governor Spring Included
- +~40 HP / +90-100 lb-ft over Stock
- Install into Existing Pump — No Core Required
- Part Number: 231601
Notes
- VE pump trucks only (1989-1993). Won't fit P7100 inline pumps on 1994-1998 12V trucks.
- EGT and fuel pressure should be monitored after the upgrade — pushing more fuel without watching temps can shorten the life of pistons and injectors.
