1994-1998 Cummins Performance Fuel Plate Kit (23G402)
Description
Industrial Injection custom-ground performance fuel cam plate kit for 1994-1998 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L 12V Cummins P7100 injection pumps. Replaces the stock fuel cam plate with a more aggressive plate that increases peak fueling — the single most direct way to add power and torque inside the P7100 without changing injectors or pulling the pump apart for major rework.
Six plate options cover the range from mild bump (#12 — about a 5-10 HP gain over stock) all the way to race-grade (#5 — substantial fueling, requires upgraded valvetrain and turbo). The right plate depends on injector size, turbo, and what the truck is being used for. Reference the data table in your buying decision:
Features
- Custom-Ground Performance Fuel Cam Plate
- Six Plate Levels: #12, #11, #10, #8, #6, #5
- 1994-1995 Auto (stock 160 HP / 400 lb-ft): #12 (165/440) → #5 (255/650)
- 1994-1995 Manual (stock 175 HP / 420 lb-ft): #12 (190/500) → #5 (270/675)
- 1996-1998 Auto (stock 180 HP / 420 lb-ft): #12 (190/500) → #5 (270/675)
- 1996-1998 Manual (stock 215 HP / 440 lb-ft): #12 (230/605) → #10 (330/750)
- Simple Pump-Apart Install
- For 1994-1998 Dodge Ram 5.9L 12V Cummins
- Part Number: 23G402
Notes
- Plate levels increase rapidly — match the plate to injector size, turbo capacity, and intended use. A #5 plate in a stock-injector / stock-turbo truck will smoke heavily and burn through EGTs.
- 96-98 Manual + #10 plate is the highest combination Industrial Injection rates — #8/#6/#5 are not recommended on that combination ("NR" / "N" in the spec sheet).
- Pair with a 4000 RPM Governor Spring Kit (232701) to get the full benefit of the increased fueling.
