The ALPHA XD PRO S air suspension kit for 2007-2024 Mercedes Sprinter reduces sag, sway, and bottoming out. It includes stainless steel hardware and internal bump stops to prevent damage. Designed for improved ride comfort and the option to run without air when not towing. Available with or without in-bag bump stops.

Why Pacbrake added a bump stop to their bags?

Peace of mind. Customers want a bump stop to prevent bottoming out from loss of air bag pressure, an extremely rare event that could damage the air bags or potentially the frame of the truck. Think of it as an "insurance policy" against bottoming out.

An additional benefit is that you can run these air bags at 0 psi when unloaded for superior ride comfort.

Are bump stops necessary?

No! For those that require max travel in their air bags, to raise and lower their rear end to pickup trailers or boats, or for those that take their trucks off roading, air bags without bump stops are recommended. Consider the HP10395-X ALPHA XD air bag.
