Description

Stanadyne DB2 mechanical injection pump (DB2831-4911) calibrated for the 1992-1993 GM 6.5L Detroit Diesel turbo platform — Chevrolet/GMC C/K trucks and P-series chassis. Direct OE-spec replacement set up for the 200 HP factory power rating.

The 6.5L turbo era is the bridge between the naturally-aspirated 6.2L Detroit and the later Duramax. These pumps see the extra fuel demand the turbo creates, so the DB2 calibration is unique to the 6.5L turbo trucks. Each unit ships fully tested on a Stanadyne stand: fuel rates, advance, and shutoff are set to OE 200 HP spec. Uses factory hard lines, lift pump, and timing reference.

Notes

• This pump is specific to the turbocharged 6.5L Detroit — wrong choice for the naturally-aspirated 6.2L Detroit (use DB2829-4779 instead).
• Drain and flush the tank, install fresh primary/secondary fuel filters before swap — old fuel kills a fresh pump.
